BetClic Poker Rolls out Progressive Knockout Tournaments on Proprietary Platform
The format officially launched on 1 September after a two-week trial period.

Independent French operator BetClic Poker has expanded its tournament schedule with the introduction of Progressive Knockout (PKO) events, following its move from the iPoker Europe network onto proprietary software late last year.
The format officially launched on 1 September after a two-week trial period. PKOs now feature prominently in the daily line-up, with many established tournaments converted to the new style. Close to two dozen PKOs are available each day, with buy-ins ranging from €1 to €100 and events running almost hourly.
The operator is also offering alternative structures such as the 75% PKO, where three-quarters of the buy-in goes into the bounty pool rather than the standard 50%. As a result, PKOs now account for nearly two-thirds of BetClic Poker’s tournament schedule.
While PKOs have been present in online poker for around 15 years, the format only achieved mainstream popularity a decade ago when PokerStars first introduced it.
