MGA Warns of Fake URLS Falsely Claiming MGA Licensing
In its notice, the MGA identified the URLs in question, clarifying that they have no link to the Maltese authority and are misrepresenting their licensing status.

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a public warning against two unauthorised websites that have been falsely claiming association with the regulator.
In its notice, the MGA identified the URLs in question, clarifying that they have no link to the Maltese authority and are misrepresenting their licensing status. Both sites are alleged to reference MGA approval in misleading ways, creating the risk of deceiving consumers about their regulatory standing.
The regulator reiterated that only operators properly licensed under Maltese law are bound to comply with its stringent framework, which encompasses consumer protection, anti-money laundering requirements, and responsible gaming obligations.
“MGA maintains that consumers should always verify an operator’s licensing status before engaging with their services,” the authority stressed, noting that any transactions with unlicensed operators carry potential financial and security risks.
