New Jersey and UAE Sign Landmark Gaming Regulation Agreement
The agreement, facilitated by Choose New Jersey, lays the groundwork for regulatory collaboration between the two organisations.

As part of New Jersey’s economic mission to the Gulf Arab States, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) and the United Arab Emirates' General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
The agreement, facilitated by Choose New Jersey, lays the groundwork for regulatory collaboration between the two organisations. Key areas of focus include cybersecurity, responsible gaming, and advancements in gaming technology.
Under the leadership of Governor Phil Murphy, New Jersey’s gaming industry has seen impressive growth, with total gaming revenue more than doubling since 2018.
GCGRA CEO Kevin P. Mullally commented:
“Commercial gaming is a key pillar of the UAE’s strategy for diversified economic growth, playing a significant role in driving tourism and attracting foreign investment.
This moment represents a unique opportunity to align innovative technology with modern, collaborative regulation to unlock substantial economic potential while ensuring the highest standards of consumer protection.”
