MGA Cancels Goldwin’s Gaming Authorisation
The decision revokes the licence MGA/B2C/533/2018 in line with multiple regulations under the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced the cancellation of Goldwin’s gaming authorisation, effective 13 March 2025.
The decision revokes the licence MGA/B2C/533/2018 in line with multiple regulations under the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.
Following this regulatory action, Goldwin is required to notify all players of the cancellation via email and prominently display the information on its website for 30 days.
The company must also direct players seeking to withdraw funds to the MGA’s ticketing system for assistance.
Additionally, Goldwin is obligated to settle all outstanding fees owed to the Authority within five working days of the effective date. It must also immediately remove any references to the MGA and the authorisation from its materials, as stipulated by Article 51 of the Gaming Act.
This enforcement action follows the MGA’s recent update to its regulatory oversight approach for 2025.
The Authority's new framework focuses on three key areas:
- Risk-based resource allocation
- Enhanced collaboration
- Proactive risk management
The updated regulatory strategy aims to introduce a more evidence-driven and outcomes-focused model to address risk areas within the market.
