Illinois Lottery Launches CASH POP Draw Game

The Illinois Lottery has launched CASH POP™, a new draw game available online and at nearly 7,000 retail locations across the state.

The game allows players to select one or more numbers, known as POPs, and win prizes by matching them to the number drawn. It joins the Lottery’s growing range of high-frequency draw games, offering another option across its retail and digital channels.

“CASH POP brings another exciting game to Illinois, giving players a new, fun way to play,” said Harold Mays, director of the Illinois Lottery. “As we continue to evolve the Lottery experience, we’re focused on offering games that are engaging, easy to play and available across both retail and digital platforms.”

CASH POP joins HotWins, which launched in November 2025. Drawings take place every hour from 8:30am to 1:30am.

How CASH POP Works

Players can select between one and 15 POPs, choose a wager of $1, $2, $5 or $10 per number, and decide how many draws they want to enter.

Prizes are awarded when a selected POP matches the number drawn by the Lottery. Prize amounts are randomly assigned at the time of purchase and depend on the wager selected.

A $1 wager can win between 5x and 250x the stake, with a maximum prize of $250. A $10 wager can offer a prize of up to $2,500.

Selecting more POPs improves the odds of winning, while higher wagers provide the potential for larger prizes.

The Illinois Lottery said the game is designed to offer a straightforward format with flexible playing options across retail and digital platforms.
