The data identifies contrasting patterns in the use of Deposit Limits and Self-Exclusion across the age groups analysed.

Deposit Limit Usage Increases With Age

Genting Casino Online’s research found that the proportion of players setting personal Deposit Limits generally increased with age.

Among players aged 18–24, 20.7% had set a Deposit Limit. This increased to 24.1% among those aged 25–34 and 28.4% for players aged 35–44.

Usage peaked at 31.2% among the 45–54 age group before remaining broadly stable at 31.0% for players aged 55 and over.

Self-Exclusion Follows Different Pattern

Self-Exclusion usage showed a different trend.

The highest rate was recorded among players aged 25–34 at 20.6%, followed by 20.2% among those aged 35–44.

Among players aged 18–24, 19.1% had used Self-Exclusion. This fell to 17.1% among players aged 45–54 and 13.4% among those aged 55 and over.

The data demonstrates differences in how the two Responsible Gambling tools are used across age groups. However, it does not establish why players choose particular tools or indicate differences in gambling-related risk between the groups.
