Galaxy Gaming has appointed John Boushy to its board of directors, bringing more than 45 years of experience across the gaming, hospitality, technology and entertainment industries.

Boushy succeeds Meredith Brill, who has informed the company of her intention to step down after serving on the board for four years.

The appointment strengthens Galaxy Gaming's leadership team as the company continues pursuing its long-term growth strategy, with Boushy bringing extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and gaming operations.

Throughout his career, Boushy has held senior executive and advisory positions at several major US casino operators, including Caesars Entertainment, Ameristar Casinos and Harrah's Entertainment.

Boushy Brings More Than Four Decades Of Gaming Experience

Boushy is the founder and managing member of Boushy Consulting, an advisory business providing strategic, operational and development guidance to gaming operators, investors and senior executives.

Through his consultancy, he has undertaken executive management responsibilities with the parent company of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and advised the Second Priority Noteholders Committee during the bankruptcy proceedings involving Caesars Entertainment Operating Company.

He subsequently served on the board of Caesars Entertainment following the company's emergence from bankruptcy, gaining further experience in corporate restructuring and governance.

Before establishing his consultancy, Boushy served as President and CEO of Ameristar Casinos, having previously spent more than two decades at Harrah's Entertainment in various senior leadership positions.

His experience spans casino development, operational management, technology implementation and corporate transactions, providing Galaxy Gaming with additional expertise as it develops its business.

Galaxy Gaming Welcomes New Board Member

Galaxy Gaming Chairman Mark Lipparelli welcomed the appointment, highlighting Boushy's longstanding involvement in the gaming industry and his experience working with major operators.

“We are pleased to welcome John to the Galaxy Gaming Board of Directors,” Lipparelli said. “We are fortunate to have someone of his reputation and rare capability lend his expertise to our team. John has been a major force in the gaming industry for several decades, working alongside many of the industry’s most talented leaders and visionaries.”

Lipparelli also credited Boushy with contributing to developments in gaming operations, marketing and technology throughout his career.

“He is personally credited with helping advance numerous innovations in gaming operations, marketing and technology throughout his distinguished career. As a senior executive, he has consistently been a demanding partner, a thoughtful collaborator and a catalyst for industry advancement.”

The appointment comes as Galaxy Gaming continues to focus on its long-term development, with Boushy's background in corporate strategy and operational leadership expected to support the company's future plans.

Lipparelli added that his experience in mergers and acquisitions, technology innovation and corporate governance would be particularly valuable as Galaxy Gaming executes its growth strategy.

Meredith Brill Steps Down After Four Years

Boushy's arrival follows Meredith Brill's decision to leave the board after four years, during which she contributed to the company's corporate oversight and strategic direction.

Galaxy Gaming acknowledged Brill's service and the role she played in supporting the business during her tenure.

“We thank Meredith for her many contributions to Galaxy Gaming over the past four years,” Lipparelli said. “Her insights and guidance have helped position the company for its next phase of growth, and we wish her every success in her future endeavors.”

The company has not announced any additional changes to its board or provided further details regarding the timing of Brill's departure.

Boushy's appointment adds an experienced gaming executive to Galaxy Gaming's leadership structure, with his background in casino operations, corporate transactions and technology expected to contribute to the company's ongoing strategic development.
