SiGMA Play Expands Into Sweden's Regulated Online Gambling Market
The iGaming affiliate and casino review platform has launched in Sweden, expanding its coverage of licensed operators and responsible gambling information.

SiGMA Play has announced its expansion into Sweden's regulated online gambling market, introducing its casino review and comparison services to players in one of Europe's established iGaming jurisdictions.
The platform, which operates as the consumer-facing affiliate and review division of SiGMA Group, will provide Swedish players with information about licensed online casinos, including game selections, promotional offers, payment options and customer support.
The expansion forms part of SiGMA Play's wider strategy to increase its presence across regulated gambling markets, with an emphasis on directing consumers towards operators that meet local licensing and player protection requirements.
Sweden introduced its current licensing framework in January 2019, establishing a regulated market overseen by the Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen.
SiGMA Play Targets Sweden's Competitive Gambling Market
The launch provides SiGMA Play with access to a market featuring established domestic gambling brands alongside international operators competing for customers under Sweden's licensing system.
According to market intelligence platform Blask, ATG and Svenska Spel account for the largest shares of consumer brand interest in Sweden, with respective Brand Accumulated Power (BAP) figures of 32.31% and 23.42%.
BAP measures a brand's share of overall consumer interest rather than its actual gambling revenue, providing an indication of market visibility and consumer awareness.
The figures suggest that established operators maintain a prominent position within the Swedish market, although several other licensed brands also compete for consumer attention.
Data included in the 2026 SiGMA Europe Market Report, drawing on Blask estimates, places Sweden among Europe's ten largest gambling markets by estimated revenue.
The report estimates that Sweden generated approximately $191.8 million in gambling revenue during September 2026, with July and August identified as particularly active months.
These figures provide a commercial backdrop for SiGMA Play's expansion, although the company has not disclosed specific traffic, revenue or customer acquisition targets for its Swedish operations.
Casino Reviews And Player Protection Take Priority
SiGMA Play Sweden will focus on reviewing licensed gambling operators and comparing their offerings across several categories, including available games, withdrawal processes, customer service and promotional incentives.
The platform aims to provide information that allows consumers to assess different operators before registering, while highlighting the importance of choosing gambling websites authorised by Spelinspektionen.
Sweden's regulatory framework requires licensed operators to comply with player protection obligations, including age verification, deposit limits and responsible gambling measures.
Licensed businesses must also adhere to national advertising restrictions and other regulatory requirements intended to reduce gambling-related harm.
SiGMA Play Deputy Editor Armand Gerber previously discussed the differences between producing industry-focused content and consumer-facing gambling reviews, explaining that affiliate platforms often engage readers who are already considering registering with an operator.
He described the role of consumer-focused content as “closing the job between curiosity and confidence to ensure them of the right choice”.
The Swedish launch will apply this approach through reviews and comparisons intended to help players understand the differences between licensed gambling platforms.
SiGMA Group Continues Affiliate Expansion
The move into Sweden strengthens SiGMA Play's international presence as the wider SiGMA Group continues developing its activities across the gambling industry.
While SiGMA is widely associated with industry conferences and B2B networking events, SiGMA Play operates in the consumer affiliate sector, providing casino reviews and information intended to support player decision-making.
The Swedish market presents an opportunity for the platform to expand its audience within an established regulatory environment, although competition among gambling affiliates and comparison websites remains significant.
SiGMA Play has not announced any specific commercial partnerships associated with the launch or confirmed further European markets targeted for expansion.
Its entry into Sweden nevertheless represents another development in the group's consumer-facing operations, extending its coverage of licensed gambling businesses and regulated iGaming markets.
