Wildz Group has become the first operator to receive approval for a B2C gambling licence in Finland, according to the company.

The operator, which runs brands including Caxino, Spinz and Wildz Sports, said it received a formal letter from Finland’s National Police Board on 15 October confirming its licensing status.

The approval will allow Wildz Group to begin offering B2C online gambling services when Finland’s newly regulated market opens on 1 July 2027.

Wildz Group CEO Sam Brown said the approval marked an important stage in the company’s preparations for the new market.

“Receiving the amazing news of being the first operator to receive a licence in Finland is a welcome reward for all the efforts of the team in the application process,” Brown said.

“We're excited about this milestone and what it represents for the future of Wildz Group. We believe that our brands will offer players in Finland a safe and engaging entertainment product for many years to come. We're looking forward to July 2027.”

Finnish Licence Applications Reach 75

Wildz Group’s approval comes as other operators continue to await decisions on their applications for the Finnish market.

As of 22 September, the National Police Board had reportedly received 75 licence applications, up from 50 applications reported in June.

The processing period for applications is expected to take between six and eight months.

Finland’s new regulatory framework will also introduce licensing requirements for B2B iGaming suppliers from 1 July 2028.
