Canadian Gaming Association To Showcase Canada’s $23bn Gaming Market At ICE Barcelona
The Canadian Gaming Association will launch Canada House at ICE Barcelona, showcasing opportunities within the country’s $23bn regulated gaming industry to international operators, suppliers and investors

The Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) will use ICE Barcelona to promote opportunities within Canada’s $23bn regulated gaming industry through the launch of Canada House at Fira Barcelona.
Canada House will be open to ICE attendees looking to connect with the country’s gaming community, learn about Canadian companies and jurisdictions and explore opportunities to do business in the market.
The dedicated space will bring Canadian businesses and jurisdictions together in one location, providing an international audience with information about the country’s gaming sector and individual markets.
Canada House To Connect Industry With Canadian Market
Paul Burns, President & CEO of the Canadian Gaming Association, said:
“We saw the creation of Canada House as the most effective and impactful way of demonstrating the strength of the market at what is the world's leading gaming gathering.
“Canada House brings Canadian companies and jurisdictions all together in one place, providing international visitors with a definitive and clear understanding of all that Canada has to offer.”
Burns said Canada House would act as a central meeting point for companies interested in the Canadian market while also showcasing individual businesses and jurisdictions.
He added:
“Canada House will be the focal point for all things Canada at ICE Barcelona - a welcoming place to meet and build relationships, away from the pace of the show floor. It will also carry content that showcases Canadian companies and Canadian jurisdictions, giving visitors a clear picture of who is doing business in Canada and what each market offers.
“We will be making the case for Canada as an excellent place to do business manifest by an advantageous dollar, a deep pool of talent, underpinned by a competitive business environment and a progressive regulatory regime.”
ICE Barcelona Provides International Platform
Burns said ICE Barcelona provides an opportunity for the Canadian gaming sector to engage directly with operators, suppliers, regulators, investors and other decision-makers from international markets.
He said:
“ICE brings the global gaming industry together in one place. Operators, suppliers, regulators, investors and decision makers from around the world attend, which makes it the natural venue for reaching international audiences at scale. For Canada, that means direct access to the companies and leaders we most want to engage.
“Success means striking-up new relationships, having meaningful conversations about doing business in Canada, and generating greater international awareness of what our industry offers. Most of all, we want visitors to leave seeing Canada as a competitive, talent-rich and well-regulated place to grow their business.”
Alberta Launch Supports Canada House Initiative
Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director responsible for delivering ICE Barcelona, said the introduction of Canada House follows the launch of Alberta’s regulated iGaming market on 13 July 2026.
She said:
“The launch of Canada House demonstrates how ICE Barcelona is responding to market dynamics and the opportunities that exist following the Alberta government’s establishment of a regulated iGaming market which officially launched July 13 2026.
“Once again Barcelona will become the capital of global gaming In January. The opportunities that World Gaming Week provides to engage with over 65,000 business leaders from 179 nations are unprecedented.
“We are delighted to be working with the Canadian Gaming Association to showcase the opportunities that exist in Canada's $23 billion regulated gaming industry. It is the connections made during World Gaming Week that shape the future of the industry across every continent.”
