ICE Barcelona 2027 Introduces Indie Game Zone For Emerging Studios
ICE Barcelona will introduce an Indie Game Zone in 2027, providing independent casino and iGaming studios with a dedicated area to present their games to operators and industry delegates.

World Gaming (WG), organiser of ICE Barcelona, has announced the launch of a dedicated Indie Game Zone for the 2027 edition of the event.
The new area will be located within the Technology and Innovation Hall and will focus on independent and early-stage game studios seeking to showcase casino and iGaming content.
Participating developers will be able to present prototypes, live game builds and intellectual property to operators and other industry delegates attending ICE.
Indie Game Zone Eligibility
The initiative is aimed at studios that have been operating for 10 years or less and have not yet reached the scale of established gaming suppliers.
To qualify, studios must not already be exhibiting at ICE or iGB L!VE and cannot be subsidiaries of larger casino game providers. Applicants must also have games or concepts available to demonstrate.
Exhibition pods will be available from €12,500 and include a branded cabinet, TV display, logo placement, stools, electrical access and an exhibitor profile on the ICE website.
Participating studios will also be included in guided stand tours and ICE marketing activity, including a three-game feature within an Indie Games Showcase campaign and exposure through the Slots News newsletter.
New Zone To Form Part Of Hall 7
Alex Pratt, group managing director at WG, said the initiative was created to increase the visibility of emerging developers at the event.
“The Indie Game Zone is about giving genuinely exciting new studios a real platform at ICE, the kind of visibility that used to take years to earn,” Pratt said.
“We built this because the industry’s next big thing is often coming from teams nobody’s heard of yet, and ICE should be the place where operators and decision makers find them first.”
The Indie Game Zone will be located in the new Hall 7, which will focus on gaming technology and innovation.
The hall will cover areas including enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, payments, infrastructure, fintech and emerging iGaming technology.
Applications for the Indie Game Zone at ICE Barcelona 2027 are now open.
