Swedish Gambling Authority Temporarily Revokes Charm Entertainment Casino Licence
Spelinspektionen has temporarily revoked Charm Entertainment AB’s land-based casino licence while the Swedish regulator continues its investigation into the operator.
The Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen) has temporarily revoked Charm Entertainment AB’s licence to operate commercial land-based casino gaming.
Under the decision, issued on 1 October 2026, Charm Entertainment must immediately cease all gambling activities covered by the licence.
The temporary revocation will remain in place until Spelinspektionen reaches a final decision or until 1 April 2027 at the latest.
Spelinspektionen Continues Investigation
Spelinspektionen opened a supervisory investigation into Charm Entertainment on 27 May 2026 to assess the company’s compliance with the Swedish Gambling Act and legislation covering taxation, accounting and bookkeeping.
As part of its investigation, the regulator examined Charm Entertainment’s annual reports for 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Spelinspektionen also reviewed material connected to an ongoing criminal preliminary investigation that was heard before Södertälje District Court.
The temporary licence revocation has been imposed while the regulator considers the case and does not represent a final ruling on the investigation.
