Evolution Launches Spinning Whale Slots Studio For North America

Evolution has launched Spinning Whale, a new online slots studio focused primarily on the North American market.

The studio joins Evolution’s existing portfolio of slots brands, which includes Nolimit City, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Sneaky Slots.

Evolution said Spinning Whale has been developed around the playing preferences of North American customers, with its games set to focus on themes, mechanics, volatility and visual styles tailored to the market.

Spinning Whale Debuts With 888 Dragon's Fortune Hold'n'Win

Spinning Whale will make its debut with 888 Dragon's Fortune Hold'n'Win, an Asian-themed online slot influenced by traditional land-based casino games.

The title has been developed for online players in the US, with the studio scheduled to make its wider North American network debut in November.

Additional Spinning Whale titles are expected to follow during 2027.

Games from the studio will be distributed exclusively through Evolution’s One Stop Shop (OSS), allowing operators to access the content alongside Evolution’s wider online casino portfolio through a single integration.

Focus On North American Market

Jacob Claesson, CEO of Evolution North America, said the new studio would allow the company to increase the number of games developed specifically with US players in mind.

“North America is a key market for Evolution, and we see significant opportunity to continue growing our online slots business here,” said Claesson.

“We know that players in the US can have different preferences when it comes to themes, volatility, mechanics and visual style. Spinning Whale will allow us to increase the number of games we release with the US player perspective in mind from the outset, helping us get more of the content players love in front of them.

“We have spent considerable time looking at what players in this market enjoy and where we see the market heading. Spinning Whale is a direct response to that opportunity. While we expect many of these games to resonate with players well beyond North America, we are particularly excited about the potential for the brand in the US.”
