Visualize Completes Acquisition Of eCOGRA

Private investment firm The Visualize Group has completed its acquisition of iGaming testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) provider eCOGRA.

The transaction closed following receipt of customary regulatory approvals and clearances, almost three months after the acquisition was first announced.

Visualize also acquired gaming testing laboratory BMM Testlabs in March, bringing both companies under the same ownership.

The combined platform now holds licences or accreditations across more than 800 jurisdictions, including regulated gaming markets worldwide.

Visualize said the acquisitions form part of its strategy to develop a testing, inspection, certification and compliance platform serving both online and land-based gaming markets.

Building A Combined TICC Platform

The completion coincides with G2E in Las Vegas and SBC Summit in Lisbon, where executives from BMM Testlabs and eCOGRA will make their first joint industry appearance following the transaction.

Will Shuckburgh, chief executive officer of eCOGRA, said:

“For more than two decades, eCOGRA’s mission has been to ensure that players can trust the games they play and that operators can meet the highest standards of compliance.

“As regulated gaming expands into new markets around the world, the combination gives us the scale and resources to serve our customers even better — to invest in our people, our technology and our capacity — while upholding the standards our accreditation partners and customers expect.”

C. C. Melvin Ike, founder and managing partner of Visualize, said the transaction would support the development of a combined TICC platform across digital and land-based gaming.

“Closing this transaction marks an important step toward building a generational business in regulated gaming: a testing, inspection, certification and compliance platform spanning both digital and land-based markets,” said Ike.

“Martin [Storm, CEO of BMM Testlabs] and Will bring complementary experience and a shared commitment to the rigor and reliability that regulators and operators depend on. We’re confident their leadership will position the business to meet growing demand for high-quality independent testing and certification.

“We’re thrilled to begin this next chapter with them.”
