The countdown is underway for the 11th annual Sports Betting West Africa+ (SBWA+) Summit and the second annual Gaming Event Francophone Africa (GEFA), which will take place at the King Fahd Palace Hôtel in Dakar, Senegal, from 14–16 October 2026.
The events will bring together representatives from across Africa’s betting and gaming industry, including state lotteries, regulators, regional operators, legal experts and technology providers.
Alongside industry discussions, the summit will provide networking and business opportunities for decision-makers operating across West African and French-speaking markets.
SBWA+ And GEFA To Address Regional Gaming Markets
The agenda will focus on several of the challenges and opportunities facing operators and other industry stakeholders across the region.
Topics will include navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks, mobile player retention, developing gaming solutions for low-bandwidth environments and identifying growth opportunities across West African and Francophone markets.

The SBWA+ Eventus Awards 2026 will recognise organisations and executives across areas including industry excellence, regulatory compliance and technological innovation in West African gaming.
The official awards ceremony will take place on 14 October 2026, with nominations closing on 2 October.
