iGaming Roundtable Approaches 1,000 Members As It Plots Six-Event Expansion For 2027
iGaming Roundtable is approaching 1,000 members as the invite-only community prepares to expand its programme of senior industry events across new markets in 2027.

iGaming Roundtable, the invite-only industry community created to connect senior figures from across the online gambling sector, is approaching 1,000 members as it prepares to expand its programme of events in 2027.
Founded by iGaming industry veteran Christian Hodges, the community was initially created as a space where senior industry professionals could connect and exchange ideas without the unsolicited sales activity common to larger industry groups.
What began as an online community has since developed into a series of in-person meet-ups and dedicated roundtable events, following growing demand from members for more opportunities to meet and discuss the issues shaping the sector.
The next edition of its invite-only Boardroom Series will take place at The Montcalm Brewery Hotel in London on 29 October, bringing together senior operators and a limited number of selected suppliers for an afternoon of facilitated discussion followed by a private dinner.
The event will operate under Chatham House Rules, with no panels, stage presentations or sales pitches. Operator attendees must hold C-level or head-of-department positions, while supplier participation is also restricted to senior industry figures.
‘A Community For Proper Conversations’
Christian Hodges, co-founder of iGaming Roundtable, said:
“The Roundtable really started out of frustration. There are plenty of industry communities already, but once they reach a certain size they can very quickly become places where thousands of people are simply trying to sell to one another.
“I wanted to create something more useful - a senior, gated community where people could actually have conversations, make connections and talk openly about what is happening in the industry without feeling like somebody was waiting to pitch to them.
“The events were never really the original plan. We started with the community and some more informal meet-ups, but people kept asking us for dedicated roundtables where operators and suppliers could get into a room together and have proper conversations.
“That demand has shown us there is room for a different type of industry event. The big expos are important, but they are becoming bigger, busier and more expensive, and there is never a guarantee that the person you want to meet will actually make it to your stand. Our approach is deliberately the opposite - a small room, carefully selected people and enough time to have a meaningful conversation.”
Future of iGaming
The October Boardroom Series session, titled Future of iGaming, will explore issues including regulation across the UK and Europe, the emergence of prediction markets, AI and product innovation, acquisition and retention economics and the changing talent and leadership requirements of the industry.
Confirmed participants include senior figures from LeoVegas, PokerStars, Lottoland, Playtech, The Football Pools, Pronet Gaming, Metabet and Betable, alongside experienced investors and industry founders.
The event deck describes the format as a closed-door discussion designed specifically around candid peer conversation rather than presentations or sales activity.
The London event comes ahead of a significant expansion of the Roundtable programme next year, with six events planned during 2027.
Gibraltar, Leeds, London and Stockholm are already among the locations earmarked for the calendar, with further destinations currently being considered.
Expansion Planned For 2027
Hodges added:
“Getting close to 1,000 members has happened largely through word of mouth, which tells us there is an appetite for this kind of community.
“The aim now is to keep the thing that made it valuable in the first place as we grow - senior people, useful conversations and no noise. The events are an extension of that rather than traditional conferences, and that is the model we want to take into more markets in 2027.”
