BetMGM Launches Free-To-Play Ultimate Teams For NFL Season

Operator expands its NFL offering with Ultimate Teams, BetDefense, Legendary Thursdays and new sportsbook features

BetMGM has expanded its sportsbook offering for the new NFL season, introducing a series of features including a new free-to-play game, enhanced player protections and football-focused promotions.

Among the additions is Ultimate Teams, a free-to-play game that rewards players with daily cards when they log in each weekday.

Players will also have the opportunity to compete for a share of a weekly US$50,000 Bonus Bets jackpot.

The operator, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain, has also launched Legendary Thursdays as part of its football offering.

The initiative will feature bonuses and odds linked to Thursday fixtures, which BetMGM hopes will create a “new weekly destination at the start of every football weekend.”

BetMGM Adds BetDefense And Odds Flash

Further changes include the introduction of BetDefense, a feature designed to provide additional protection around selected player prop bets.

Under the initiative, BetMGM will return a player’s prop stake if their selected player suffers an injury during the first quarter.

The operator has also rolled out Odds Flash, which will send push notifications to customers when odds change across college and professional American football markets.

Alongside its sportsbook updates, BetMGM is looking to strengthen the crossover between sports betting and casino.

The operator will offer a collection of football-themed casino content, including 20 team-branded games alongside live dealer titles.

BetMGM has also made a number of improvements to the technology underpinning its platform.

According to the operator, customers can expect faster loading times, easier navigation and “improved responsiveness.”

The expansion of BetMGM’s NFL offering comes as competition among US sports betting operators continues to intensify around the new football season.
