Midnite Brings Greater Transparency to Player Compliance Reviews with New Tool

Midnite, the hyper-growth UK sportsbook and casino operator, has set its sights on streamlining how player account reviews are conducted with the launch of a new compliance tool, Atlas.

Drawing inspiration from mythology, Atlas was ordered by Zeus to hold the weight of the heavens on his shoulders; naming the new compliance tool after the Greek titan Atlas aims to reflect how the tool is helping to underpin customer compliance communications, while also providing unwavering support and reliability as Midnite continues to grow its player base.

Developed in-house, Atlas brings greater transparency and accountability to a compliance process that has traditionally been a significant friction point for bettors.

Customers facing a compliance review are given a clear timeframe for when Midnite expects the review to be completed, and can follow the status of their review via a live visual progress tracker.

Akin to the visual tracker that a user might see when ordering an Uber or a Dominoes Pizza, customers will be able to track their review through the various different stages, including when an analyst is reviewing their account, when documents have been sent and received, etc.

Behind the customer-facing experience, Midnite’s compliance team uses the new automation tool to move accounts through defined review journeys more efficiently. The tool automates a range of previously manual actions, including triggering customer communications, applying necessary account controls and requesting relevant documentation.

If Midnite fails to complete the review within the designated timeframe, the bettor receives an account credit - introducing a new level of accountability to a process that can often leave players uncertain over when they will regain full access to their account.

Atlas, which has already processed 3,000+ accounts across Midnite’s UK customer base since June 2026, has the potential to significantly reduce player churn during the account review process.

While the tool is being used across Midnite’s UK customer base, the underlying technology has been designed to accommodate different compliance journeys and regulatory requirements as Midnite continues to pursue its ambition of becoming a tier-1 operator in global markets.

Alex Henderson, Head of Compliance at Midnite, said:

“Compliance processes need to be robust, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of the user experience. At Midnite, we’ve been working behind the scenes to build a tool that makes reviews clearer and more transparent for players.

“We’ve used our own historical data to time-map different review processes and built our new tool with that in mind. The result is a much more transparent journey for the customer and a significantly more efficient workflow for our analysts.

“Around 3,000 accounts have already gone through the new process. However, this is just the beginning. Our ambition is to keep developing the technology, automate more of the compliance journey and ultimately build an experience where robust player protection and an excellent customer experience are not competing objectives.”

Founded in 2015 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, Midnite has grown rapidly in recent years, expanding its product mix and team while establishing itself as one of the UK’s most exciting challenger brands.

With significant new investment and an expanding leadership team, the company is focused on closing the gap with the market’s largest operators through product excellence, innovation and a commitment to safer gambling across its platform.
