BetBlocker Announces an Exciting New Development, its Software is Now Available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese Languages.
Releasing software editions in simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and Vietnamese adds significantly to the extensive number of languages already catered for by the charity.
BetBlocker’s 2026 continues to be hugely productive, with the announcement that its anonymous, free blocking and gambling management software, is now available to speakers of both simplified and traditional Chinese, together with Vietnamese language speakers. This has only been possible due to the support the charity has been given by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC).
As the year progresses, the BetBlocker Team’s enthusiasm for developing their product to meet the needs of new language sectors remains undiminished. With the evidence overwhelmingly showing that offering support that is available in the user’s first language, is essential to them effectively exerting control over their gambling habits, the BetBlocker Team strive to do just that. If gambling harms are to be prevented, users must feel that they are on solid ground when it comes to understanding the support offered to them. BetBlocker has partnered with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to bring about the latest language developments to coincide with Responsible Gaming Education Month 2026 in the United States. Over 50% of Massachusetts residents speak a language that is not English in their own homes. Spanish is the most prevalent non-English language spoken by Massachusetts residents, followed by Portuguese and then Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin). BetBlocker is already available in both Spanish and Portuguese, so to ensure that all Massachusetts residents can access free gambling harm prevention software equally, the MGC offered to champion the release of the software in simplified and traditional Chinese, alongside Vietnamese. Thanks to the services they provided, these language versions can now be launched.
This commitment by the MGC clearly underlines their recognition of the necessity to provide language specific variants of BetBlocker, at no cost, to vulnerable and often overlooked residents in their community. The team at BetBlocker have been thrilled to work alongside the MGC on this exciting and much needed project.
