BETesporte Strengthens Responsible Gaming Measures With Betshield Technology

BETesporte Online Betting has partnered with Betshield Responsible Gaming to strengthen the responsible gaming framework across its BETesporte and Lance da Sorte brands in Brazil.

The agreement will introduce an additional layer of behavioural monitoring technology, allowing BETesporte to identify potential signs of risky gambling at an earlier stage. The operator said the partnership forms part of its strategy to develop player protection measures beyond minimum regulatory requirements.

Betshield To Monitor Player Behaviour

BETesporte already provides responsible gaming tools including self-exclusion, temporary and permanent pauses, alongside controls covering deposits, losses and time spent on its platform.

Betshield's technology will complement these measures by continuously monitoring player behaviour and identifying changes or patterns that could indicate increased risk. The system can generate alerts and maintain records of actions taken, providing BETesporte with additional data to inform preventative interventions and strengthen internal governance.

BETesporte said Betshield was selected partly because of its alignment with the requirements of SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,231/2024, as well as the company's reputation, integration speed and ability to convert behavioural data into information that can support preventative action.

Integration Completed In Less Than 24 Hours

Nogueira said the speed and ease with which Betshield could be incorporated into BETesporte's existing technology were also important factors behind the agreement, with the integration completed in less than 24 hours.

“We were looking for a robust solution that also fit the reality of our operation. In less than 24 hours, the integration was complete,” Nogueira said.

“This allows us to add a new layer of intelligence to our ecosystem without compromising operational efficiency and, most importantly, to advance on a topic that we consider strategic for the sustainable development of the sector.”

The technology will also support BETesporte's internal governance and traceability processes by providing records of identified behavioural patterns and subsequent actions taken by the operator.
