Industry Backs Responsible Gaming Education Month
Gaming companies and organisations are supporting the American Gaming Association’s Responsible Gaming Education Month campaign, with MGM Resorts and BetMGM contributing to responsible gaming initiatives.

Several gaming industry companies and organisations have joined the American Gaming Association (AGA)’s Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) campaign, which runs throughout September.
Among them are MGM Resorts and BetMGM, which have partnered with the AGA to promote RGEM 2026 and contributed a combined US$320,000 to responsible gaming initiatives.
Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming are also recognising RGEM through the company’s responsible gambling programme, PlayersEdge.
The companies said they would highlight new initiatives, research partnerships and education programmes aimed at supporting positive play and informed decision-making.
Responsible Gaming Education Month
The AGA described RGEM as a “yearly touchpoint for the legal, state- and tribal-regulated gaming industry to showcase our efforts to promote gaming literacy and consumer education, enhance employee training and work with partners to advance responsible gaming research.”
BetMGM chief compliance officer Rhea Loney said:
“Player protection is a priority every day at BetMGM, and RGEM gives us an opportunity to highlight those efforts. Through GameSense messaging in professional sports venues, employee education and investments in research and support services, we are helping players access the tools and resources they need to make informed decisions.”
The campaign covers initiatives focused on gaming literacy, consumer education, employee training and responsible gaming research.
Gaming Hall Of Fame
The AGA also announced its 2026 Gaming Hall of Fame inductees in July.
The Gaming Hall of Fame recognises individuals for their contributions to the gaming industry.
