Nevada Gaming Revenue Rises 2.1% In July
Nevada’s casinos generated $1.4bn in gaming revenue in July, while state gaming tax collections rose 3.4% in August based on the month’s taxable revenue.

Nevada’s 453 casinos generated $1.4bn in gaming revenue in July, a 2.1% increase year-on-year, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB).
The Las Vegas Strip led the state’s growth, with gaming revenue increasing 3.6% to $776.3m.
Gaming revenue across Clark County, which includes downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Laughlin, the Boulder Strip and Mesquite, increased 1.5% to $1.2bn.
The slot handle rose 4.8% year-on-year, while table drop increased 24%, including a 43% rise in baccarat volume.
Regional Gaming Revenue
North Las Vegas recorded a 3.4% increase in gaming revenue to $25.4m, while revenue in Laughlin rose 0.1% to $41m.
Mesquite revenue declined 0.5% to $15.1m.
Downtown Las Vegas recorded an 8.6% decline to $68.5m, while the Boulder Strip fell 2.5% to $82.6m.
Clark County outside the areas separately reported recorded a 1.2% decline to $164m.
Northern Nevada Growth
Several areas in northern Nevada recorded some of the state’s strongest percentage increases during July.
Gaming revenue in Wendover rose 15.1% to $24.4m, while Elko County increased 13.5% to $36.8m. Revenue in the county’s outlying areas rose 10.3% to $12.4m.
Sparks recorded a 9.5% increase to $17.2m, while Reno revenue rose 1% to $76.8m.
North Lake Tahoe was among the areas reporting a decline, with revenue falling 5.6% to $2.9m. The rest of Washoe County, however, recorded an 11.8% increase to $8.8m.
The Carson Valley area, including Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and the rest of Douglas County outside South Lake Tahoe, reported a 1.1% increase to $12.5m.
Nevada Gaming Tax Collections
Nevada collected $98.5m in gaming taxes in August, based on taxable gaming revenue generated during July.
The total represented a 3.4% increase compared with August 2025, continuing the rise in state gaming tax collections alongside the increase in casino revenue.
