Swedish Gaming Companies Generate SEK7.4bn In Q2
Licensed gaming companies in Sweden recorded a 5.1% year-on-year increase in turnover during the second quarter.

Licensed gaming companies in Sweden generated total turnover of SEK7.4bn (US$776m) in the second quarter of 2026, according to preliminary figures from the Swedish gambling authority, Spelinspektionen.
The figure for the quarter ending 30 June represents a 5.1% increase compared with Q2 2025. Turnover is calculated as players’ stakes minus winnings paid out.
Online Gaming Leads Market
Commercial online gaming was the largest segment during the quarter, generating more than SEK4.9bn (US$513.8m) in turnover.
The figure represented an increase of just over 7% year on year.
State lottery and slot machine games recorded the second-highest turnover, reaching SEK1.432bn (US$150.3m), compared with SEK1.423bn (US$149.3m) in the corresponding period.
Meanwhile, land-based commercial gaming, which primarily includes casino games at restaurants, generated SEK73m (US$7.7m).
This represented an increase of almost 13% compared with Q2 2025.
Spelpaus Self-Exclusions
At the end of the second quarter, almost 138,000 people had registered for self-exclusion through the Spelpaus.se website.
The figure was 0.7% lower than the number recorded at the end of the previous quarter.
In June, Spelinspektionen reported that Sweden’s iGaming channelisation rate had fallen to 84% in 2025.
