Caixa Loterias Updates Federal Lottery Rules In Brazil

Caixa Loterias has published an updated version of its Lottery Products Manual, introducing a series of changes to the rules governing Brazil’s federal lottery products.

Version 21 of the manual was published on 17 August through Caixa Loterias Circular No. 1,123, signed by executive director Thays Cintra Vieira.

The new circular replaces No. 1,111, which was issued on 18 May 2026, and contains six changes compared with the previous version.

The manual consolidates the operating rules covering Caixa’s federal lotteries, including game formats, sales channels, fees, revenue distribution, prizes and draws for prognostic lotteries and Federal Lottery tickets.

Dia De Sorte And Timemania Rules Updated

Several of the changes relate specifically to Dia de Sorte and Timemania.

For Dia de Sorte, Caixa has revised the number of available teimosinhas, which allow customers to enter the same selection into multiple consecutive draws.

The draw schedule for the lottery has also been amended.

Timemania has received an update to its team correlation table as part of the latest revisions.

Loteca Expanded Beyond Traditional Sports Events

Caixa has also made changes to Loteca, including an amendment to the wording governing its special format.

The updated manual introduces a new section expanding the types of events around which Loteca contests can potentially be organised.

Alongside traditional games, contests can now be based on events “related to any other theme”, broadening the potential scope of the lottery product.

Selected Draws Move From Saturday To Sunday

The circular also introduces changes to Caixa’s lottery draw schedule, with draws previously staged on Saturdays moving to Sundays.

Further amendments concern how eligible bets are communicated to customers.

Under the revised rules, bets placed with generated receipts will now be explicitly identified as eligible to participate in the relevant draws.

The updated manual takes effect as the latest framework governing the operation and distribution of Caixa Loterias’ federal lottery products in Brazil.
