Exclusive Interview: Scott White, Founder & CEO of Parlay Games

As Parlay Games continues to cement its position as a long-standing global leader in online bingo and social gaming, we speak with Founder and CEO Scott White about the company’s origins, its pioneering role in the world’s first fully commercialized online bingo platform, and how the sector has evolved into today’s highly interactive, digitally connected ecosystem.

In this exclusive feature, we explore the evolution of social bingo, Parlay’s continued innovation in product development and how the business has expanded its platform capabilities and jurisdictional reach. We also look at what’s next for one of the most established names in the global bingo space.

1. To start, can you take us back to the early days of your journey and what first inspired you to pioneer what became the world’s first fully commercialized online bingo platform?

Our journey began with a trip to a charity bingo hall event in Ontario, Canada. At the time, Cryptologic.com — one of the first online casinos — had just been listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, generating considerable interest in online gaming overall. Our experience raising money for charities through bingo, together with the success of Cryptologic and other early online sportsbooks and casinos, inspired us to create a software platform focused specifically on charitable gaming — one that could integrate seamlessly with other gaming content platforms.

2. How did those early experiences shape your vision for Parlay Games, and what gap in the market were you originally trying to solve?

At the time, online casinos and sportsbooks were focused on younger male bettors. We understood that land-based bingo (and similar soft gaming content) represented a circa USD 70 billion market in North America alone, and that the demographic was distinct, serving a mostly older female audience. Our objective then – and our continued objective today – was to grow the size of the online gaming pie by converting that land-based player into an online soft-gaming player. This would allow an operator to acquire a completely new player whom they could move into other gaming content, such as slots, lottery, scratch, etc. No one had focused on that particular female demographic, and we thought that up to 10% of the land-based market could convert online. I recall a boardroom of portfolio managers in New York breaking into laughter when I told them that their mothers would be playing bingo on their phones in the years to come… imagine their surprise shortly thereafter.

3. Online bingo has evolved significantly over the past two decades. From your perspective, what have been the most defining changes in player behavior and expectations?

Online bingo mechanics have really not changed that much. Players still come to play the classic game, just like at a physical bingo hall; however, our stats show that it is among the top 5 most effective acquisition tools that an operator can use to attract customers to their sites - regardless of age or cultural/territory-specific background. Through the game and platform features, there are ways to get ANY player to enter a room - out of curiosity, content, excitement, and/or a chance to win big. With the features we’ve developed, there are hundreds of strategies and approaches to use the product in such creative and enticing ways that, I’ll bet you, can get ANY player to enter a room and participate - which translates into a dead-on acquisition tool with few rivals that are as impactful.

Parlay invented online bingo chat and integrated mini-games which:

  1. Recreate the experience players enjoyed in land-based bingo halls, where they sat with friends and played pull-tabs and other fast-paced bingo products during and between scheduled bingo games.
  2. Fosters and promotes live interaction, the sense of community, and the REAL experience with other humans that drives excitement
  3. Experienced chat moderators now fuel that activity in personalized ways via our software, making customers feel like they are all special VIPs.

With our platform the player expectation is one that includes:

  • A bustling calendar full of events to participate in while playing bingo
  • Multiple games within a single room,
  • Live competitions with other players,
  • Simultaneous activities like tournaments with bingo leaderboards as well as on their favorite slots,
  • Special deposit opportunities
  • Exclusive Events & Parties with their friends inside a private room and beyond!

That's what players should expect today, a personalized, engaging, ever-evolving immersive experience- with real people and so much to do that it is impossible to leave. The average Bingo player stays on the site for 45 minutes to over 3 hours 3-4 times a week.

With our first customer, Cyberbingo we launched the first bingo affiliate program, helping operators grow quickly through brand participation. A growing, plentiful network results in pooled liquidity and HUGE prizes and jackpots and is a cornerstone of a successful bingo proposition. Any brand or merchant with a large or loyal database can join a bingo network and give their players access to huge opportunities to win and have a blast - whether they are operators of igaming sites, newspapers, a music fan site, or an airline.

What has changed is the incredible scope of content now available to a bingo player, the ability to play on mobile devices, to buy bingo cards at any physical location via a POS machine, and the many new features in the bingo client's interface.

A player can now:

  • buy or pre-buy 100s of cards in multiple bingo rooms and easily navigate to their winning cards while playing; or, they don't have to be present inside the room to play so never miss an event,
  • participate in multiple rooms and games at the same time,
  • have access to loyalty-based exclusive entries where bingo cards and prizes are complimentary,
  • see their scores on leaderboards
  • request their favorite side games or who they want to compete against,
  • get discounts, surprise jackpots, guaranteed prizes and even “consolation prizes” for those who do not win bingo! That means that everyone can win something in our bingo solutions - everyone!

It's an emotional, adrenaline-driven experience. We’ve created hundreds of tools and features to support this experience, and the sky is the limit for how operators can use them to keep their players from leaving.

4. Social bingo has become a much more interactive and community-driven experience. How has Parlay influenced that shift, and what role has social engagement played in your product philosophy?

We were very early entrants into the social bingo arena. Because there are so many new product features available to operators, we now power social brands and sweepstakes brands in North and South America. Brand gamification uses social bingo to reward customers, while subscription and top-up products are extremely profitable businesses in markets where cash wagers are unregulated or prohibited. Our social and subscription-based models, with the same tools, can therefore power ANY client gamification proposition and become a rewards or redemption center where players play with their points/miles/coins, and the sweepstakes gem that has exploded and will continue to explode internationally.

Our products are deployed to our customers, branded, and mostly controlled by them - this is important because other providers rarely take this technological approach. Parlay ultimately works to give clients, the operators, the source IP so that they can become the ultimate masters of their players, their ideas, and through this freedom, engage their players to never leave. Owning your IP and all you’ve invested in your players' special experience should be the strategic goal of any mature operator.

We have co-developed many products across the skill, social, sweepstakes, and other sectors, in concert with our customers, giving them bespoke IP and ownership of the derivative work. We see ourselves as a software provider like SAP, offering a bingo-engineered platform (with all the tools we have developed over 25 years) and collaborating with our clients to create products designed specifically for their target audience (whether social, sweepstakes, or pay-for-play). Our objective is to make the customer the IP owner, the master of their own derivative work, and the bingo network manager, with full control over their IP. We are not just selling a shrink-wrapped white-label solution on our network or another customer’s network, where they would have no control and/or would have to wait months for the features, additions, or changes that are important to them.

If an operator is new to the bingo stratosphere, our experienced team works alongside them to transfer the necessary knowledge and experience to help launch a viable bingo product. We provide bespoke, customized solutions, not just software.

5. Parlay is known for its platform strength and product suite. Can you walk us through the core capabilities that differentiate your technology in a highly competitive market?

Most 90-, 75-, 80-, and 30-ball bingo products look pretty similar these days. What sets Parlay apart is that our platform was designed for multiplayer bingo from the ground up, offering multiple bingo rooms in multiple languages, fiat, social, and sweepstakes currencies, all while managing multiple customer environments in a segregated way. The platform is a multi-tenant structure, i.e., B2C and/or B2B, enabling operators to manage their own and other operators or channels in the same environment, with a global view and full control over multiple brands, partners, or special channels.

Our proprietary platform services and modules can be used to:

  • Configure and automate bingo RTPs, bingo games, and bingo room schedules (for a day, month, or the entire year);
  • Set up and operate jackpots,
  • VIP systems,
  • Tournaments,
  • Campaigns
  • Multiple bonus environments; and
  • Support deck and Chat functions.

Parlay is a bingo-focused platform provider first and is constantly adding to our Bingo 2.0 product suite with variations and evolutions in modern bingo-inspired games that are faster and designed for a younger, international demographic, so they can be used worldwide. Whether they are ultra-popular Videobingos from Brazil, POS-delivered bingo products for Chile or the Bahamas, a bespoke QuizBingo system for Denmark, or Skill Bingo for Sweepstakes markets, our focus has always been on offering the best classic bingo and unique derivatives and next-gen games reinvented for land-based and online markets.

6. Innovation is a constant theme in iGaming. How does Parlay balance long-term stability with the need to continually evolve its offering?

We have built a solid platform on which we can easily and rapidly adjust to new technologies and market changes. We focus on staying on top of key trends as a leader and not just being reactive.

Omni-channel, which allows land-based players to play the same games offered to online players, is another game-changing feature, and this is where we are focusing in 2026 and beyond. We believe we can continue to grow the online gaming pie by attracting new players who are not online-savvy in markets where online gaming is still evolving. Streaming and live-game capabilities that online players can see while they are online, as if they were in a live game show, are also evolving to enhance the player experience.

7. You operate across multiple jurisdictions. How important has regulatory adaptability been to Parlay’s growth, and how do you approach compliance across such a diverse landscape?

Parlay’s products have been certified and tested in most major markets. Our first RNG, platform, and games certifications were obtained when we operated from Alderney, prior to the United Kingdom's regulatory regime. We continue to certify our products for all new markets and believe fairness and platform security are paramount. Our platform is a reference and well-known to the most stringent certification companies, and because of our years in the market and compliance with the demands of many jurisdictions, we usually have significantly more regulatory features built into the platform than a new territory would require.

We offer all standard required responsible gaming capabilities and protections and can easily adapt to a changing regulatory environment.

8. Where do you see the biggest growth opportunities for bingo and social gaming over the next 3–5 years?

Building on our pioneering success in North America, the UK and Western Europe — where we built and successfully exited major bingo networks — we now have strategies tailored to each client’s requirements - whether that requires the creation of a Class II product for Indian Country; a bingo variant product for Denmark or an omnichannel product for Bermuda.

The US continues to deliver scale through social/sweepstakes models, Class II gaming and high engagement with casual, community-driven, tailored products and experiences.

In Europe, Parlay’s spiritual stronghold with deep historical roots, we are now expanding our influence into the global Sweeps, Predictions, and Social verticals/models. We’re also sniffing around the world of Crypto - but it's not YET a perfect fit for our demographic.

This is complemented by targeted expansion into other jurisdictions where we have or have had a footprint - including Asia and Africa — which offer massive mobile audiences, growing acceptance of social and sweepstakes gaming, and strong demand for interactive formats.

Latam is among the most attractive regions for Parlay, driven by regulatory tailwinds (especially Brazil’s maturing market), high mobile penetration, and a strong cultural fit for social bingo and community gaming. We have been testing the market in Brazil for over 15 years and are very excited about the prospects for Bingo in that market.
This “been there, done that — now let’s conquer the rest of the world” mindset allows Parlay Games to leverage our Parlay 7 platform for efficient global scaling, while capitalizing on new regulatory openings, social trends, and untapped player bases. The result is a diversified, high-growth strategy focused on the most dynamic markets of the future.

Most importantly is that Parlay goes wherever our customers want to go! Many land based-operators do not have online bingo products (or any online products), and the reverse is true in other jurisdictions.  In 2026 alone, we have looked at opportunities on most continents and as we work to combine both the land-based and online markets together in a seamless way, new territories (or distribution channels) will evolve.  We have a lot of work to do, as our customer base is increasingly diverse.

9. How is Parlay leveraging data, personalization, or emerging technologies to enhance the player experience without losing the social element that defines bingo?

By leveraging player data and personalization, we enhance players' social engagement rather than detracting from it. It facilitates community development and empowers the operator to automatically make the player experience even more unique, so that players are approached in ways that quickly align with their preferences, and they feel at home and comfortable instantly.

We offer players the ability to customize their play environment to their tastes including which features they wish to use etc.

10. Finally, looking ahead, what does success look like for Parlay Games over the next chapter of its growth, and what should the industry expect from you next?

Success for Parlay Games over the next chapter means becoming the undisputed leader in soft gaming across all our key markets. We’ll do that by deeply embedding AI into every part of our core development, not as an add-on, but as a fundamental driver of smarter games, faster innovation, and better player experiences. For example, we are launching AI-powered recommendation engines to personalize game lobbies and promotions for each player, using machine learning to optimize bingo room scheduling and jackpot triggers in real time, and applying natural language processing to enhance chat moderation and create more engaging, responsive chat experiences. Our next releases will also include automated game content testing using AI, ensuring higher quality and faster time-to-market for new features. These initiatives keep Parlay at the forefront, delivering tangible value to both operators and players.

The industry should expect us to keep raising the bar: delivering more intelligent, more engaging products at scale, while staying laser-focused on quality and responsible gaming. We’re not just growing — we’re redefining what’s possible in the online bingo and social bingo world.

Parlay is not merely a technology provider but also a problem-solver, innovator, and trusted strategy partner. Time and again, we’ve navigated intricate legal frameworks, regulatory environments, commercial structures, and technical barriers to create solutions where none previously existed, driving sustainable growth through innovative gaming and entertainment solutions. Many such opportunities required entirely new ways of thinking.  Where others may see limitations and complexity, we see new potential.

Through a combination of vision, legal and regulatory ingenuity, collaborative partnership models, and breakthrough engineering, Parlay creates pathways that expand opportunities for communities seeking greater participation in the digital gaming economy. The company’s contributions extend far beyond software, and this philosophy remains the foundation for the opportunities still to come, creating not only new products but also new possibilities.

The same spirit that helped pioneer online bingo in 1998 continues to drive the company today: a willingness to explore uncharted territory, solve difficult problems, challenge assumptions, and build bridges between technology, regulation, commerce, and community through evolutions of the most well-known and beloved game ever played on earth - BINGO!
