Midnite Renews Sun Dream Team Partnership for Second Season
Midnite will sponsor fantasy football game The Sun Dream Team for a second season

Midnite, one of the UK’s fastest growing sports betting and online gaming brands, has renewed its partnership with The Sun Dream Team, the UK’s biggest commercial fantasy football game, taking the agreement into a second season.
The Sun Dream Team is the largest commercial fantasy game in the UK, establishing itself as an important part of the football fan experience since 1999.
There is plenty to play for once again going into the 2026/27 season, with a £60,000 top prize up for grabs for the user who can demonstrate the ultimate knowledge of player performance across a range of competitions, along with other cash prizes and improved gameplay.
Users put together a team of players participating in the Premier League, as well as the FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League, with The Sun Dream Team and Midnite providing a dynamic experience along the way.
Through this partnership, Midnite will continue to give users a unique and innovative, player-centric experience, while also being guided by The Sun Sport’s news and expert analysis to help inform their selections throughout the season.
Players are awarded points based on their real-life actions in matches, including goals, assists, clean sheets and appearances lasting at least 60 minutes. Bonus points can also be awarded based on Player Performance Marks, decided by expert Sun journalists, adding an additional element of strategy to the game.
This is the latest sign of Midnite’s commitment to football. Midnite recently expanded its support of EFL Championship football clubs by becoming principal partner of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Middlesbrough, while also renewing its existing partnerships with Sheffield United and Southampton
Andrew Mook, Midnite's Head of Brand Marketing, said:
“After a successful first season of the partnership, we are delighted to be a part of one of the UK’s most iconic fantasy football games for another season by extending our agreement with The Sun Dream Team.
“Fantasy football is such an important part of the football fan’s experience of the game throughout the season, providing additional excitement to games where punters are hoping their chosen player will score that all important goal or secure a valuable clean sheet. We want to be part of that experience and make it even better.
“This, on top of our recent announcements with Middlesbrough and Sheffield United, demonstrates our determination to give something back to the world of football and make sure we are bringing fans closer to the game.”
Owen Griffiths, The Sun’s Director of Commercial Revenues, said:
“We are thrilled to partner with Midnite for a second season. The Sun Dream Team is the fantasy football destination for UK fans. Following a vintage World Cup, all eyes will be on the coming domestic season. And with a top prize of £60,000 to play for, Dream Team will be more competitive as ever.
“Midnite is fast becoming one of the more prominent names associated with football, and we very much look forward to working with the team for another season. Together, we can make the 2026/27 season one to remember for football fans, and we wish the best of luck to all players.”
The recent announcements in football are a demonstration of Midnite’s determination to shake up the world of sport. Midnite is a sponsor of the World Snooker Championship, and was the UK betting and casino partner for the 2026 Johnstone’s Paint Masters.
Midnite also sponsors the podcast series The Good, The Bad and the Football, hosted by Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, as well as comedian Paddy McGuinness.
Midnite is also making a name for itself during the FIFA men’s World Cup, bringing its signature branding to BOXPARK venues in the UK, including Shoreditch, Wembley, Boxhall, Camden and Liverpool. Midnite has turned BOXPARK venues neon-green, putting Midnite front and centre at the busiest matchzones in the country.
