Media Troopers Targets Peru Expansion Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

Media Troopers has announced its expansion into Peru's regulated online betting market, bringing its customer acquisition and sports betting expertise to operators ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the tournament set to take place across the US, Canada and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026, the company believes the event presents a major growth opportunity for licensed operators across Latin America.

Peru has quickly established itself as one of the region's fastest-growing regulated gambling markets since launching its licensing framework in 2024. More than 60 operators are now active in the market, with over 120 licences issued. Industry forecasts suggest the sector could grow from $2.7 billion in 2024 to $7.6 billion by 2033.

Commenting on the expansion, Media Troopers CEO Shmulik Segal said Peru is at a similar stage to the early development of the regulated US sports betting market.

"Media Troopers is bringing mature-market expertise into Peru at precisely the moment the market is ready to scale," Segal said.

The company will provide operators with a suite of customer acquisition and marketing solutions, including football-focused campaigns, an established affiliate and publisher network, and localised strategies designed to improve player engagement and strengthen brand visibility.

Media Troopers says its expansion reinforces its strategy of helping operators apply proven North American growth models to emerging regulated markets as global online wagering continues to evolve.
