Moon Intelligence Launches Venture Capital Arm for Betting Start-Ups

Moon Intelligence has announced the launch of a new venture capital arm focused on supporting betting start-ups, as the market maker looks to expand its footprint in the US and enhance its existing product suite.

The company said the new VC platform will provide funding and mentorship to emerging betting businesses, alongside access to Moon Intelligence’s data infrastructure and partner network. The initiative is designed to help start-ups scale while contributing to the provider’s wider ambition of supplying deeper liquidity to US prediction markets across a broad range of sports.

Moon Intelligence currently operates a proprietary market-making trading model supported by a team of around 50 analysts across 35 countries, which it uses to deliver liquidity solutions across multiple betting markets.

Co-founder and chief executive Alexandre Luneau said the venture arm would be open to a wide range of projects, from professional bettors looking to scale their operations to entrepreneurs developing new industry products, positioning Moon Intelligence as a strategic partner rather than a passive investor.

The company noted that the move builds on previous investment activity, including a stake in football data specialist StatsBomb, which exited following its acquisition by Hudl in 2024.

Co-founder and chief strategy officer Sebastien Sabic added that earlier investments had demonstrated the value of flexible partnerships, highlighting past collaborations with individual traders and small projects that delivered mutual benefits by combining specialist expertise with access to data and resources.
