Rhode Island Lottery Extends IGT Sports Betting Contract
Two-year agreement keeps IGT PlaySports powering retail and mobile wagering through 2028.

The Rhode Island Lottery has agreed a two-year contract extension with IGT, ensuring the supplier will continue to power statewide retail and mobile sports betting in Rhode Island until at least November 2028.
Under the renewed deal, IGT’s PlaySports technology will remain the backbone of the state’s Sportsbook Rhode Island operations, supporting both in-person and mobile wagering.
Joe Bertolone, senior vice president of sports betting at IGT, said the extension reflects the strength of the long-standing partnership and IGT’s ongoing commitment to helping the lottery generate revenue for the state through its sports betting programme.
He added that continued investment in the Sportsbook Rhode Island app will focus on maintaining a high-quality betting experience while supporting the state’s funding for public good initiatives.
