LiveScore Bet to Exit Bulgarian Market
The company said the decision represents a “strategic mitigation following the UK government’s 2025 Autumn Budget”, which introduced significant increases to both Remote Gaming Duty and General Betting Duty.

The LiveScore Bet brand is set to be formally withdrawn from Bulgaria by the end of the year, LiveScore Malta has confirmed.
The company said the decision represents a “strategic mitigation following the UK government’s 2025 Autumn Budget”, which introduced significant increases to both Remote Gaming Duty and General Betting Duty. The move also reflects Bulgaria’s evolving regulatory environment, including the prospect of a tax rise aimed at reducing the country’s national budget deficit.
LiveScore Group said the refocusing of resources will ensure the business “remains robust and agile for the future”.
All affected employees have been informed and are now entering a confidential consultation process. In parallel, LiveScore Malta said it is in the process of notifying all LiveScore Bet customers in Bulgaria ahead of the market exit.
