Trustly Partners with Acres to Launch Cashless Gaming in US Casinos
Similar to Trustly’s collaboration with PayNearMe for real-time account funding, the integration connects Trustly Scan & Pay with Acres’ Universal Payment Adapter, enabling players to fund slot machines and table games by scanning a QR code.

Trustly, a leading provider of Pay by Bank services across Europe, has partnered with Acres to bring cashless gaming to casino floors across the United States.
Similar to Trustly’s collaboration with PayNearMe for real-time account funding, the integration connects Trustly Scan & Pay with Acres’ Universal Payment Adapter, enabling players to fund slot machines and table games by scanning a QR code.
Transactions are processed instantly via bank transfer, without the need for player cards, mobile apps, or digital wallets. For operators, the system helps reduce cash handling costs, estimated at around 6% of revenue, while data suggests that cashless play drives higher coin-in than traditional cash-based gaming.
The solution can be rolled out through the Universal Payment Adapter, which is compatible with multiple slot machines and casino management systems. Regulatory approval has already been granted in most major tribal and commercial jurisdictions across the US.
Noah Acres, COO of Acres, commented:
“The Universal Payment Adapter gives casinos a true plug-and-play cashless interface that requires no additional technology integration and boasts widespread regulatory approvals throughout the United States.
By linking it to Trustly Scan & Pay, casinos can offer their players a way to fund games electronically that’s quicker and easier than cash.”
Darren White, Trustly’s Director of Gaming, added:
“Trustly and Acres have executed both technical integration and commercial agreements, the latter enabling Acres to serve as Merchant of Record to Trustly on behalf of casinos.”
On other iGaming payments news, Atlaslive has announced a strategic partnership with Magnum, a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil that specialises in secure digital transactions.
