Kansas Sports Betting Revenue Climbs 12.4% Year-on-Year in March

Kansas has reported a year-on-year increase in sports betting revenue across both online and retail channels, with figures from the Kansas Lottery revealing $8 million in revenue for March 2025—a 12.4% rise compared to $7.1 million in March 2024.

The majority of revenue came from online sportsbooks, which accounted for $7.9 million, while retail betting contributed $164,568. However, the monthly comparison told a different story, with revenue dropping 66.5% from the $23.9 million recorded in February 2025.

The total sports betting handle for March reached $248.4 million, made up of $241.7 million from online bets and $6.7 million from retail locations. While this represented a 1.8% decrease from March 2024’s $252.9 million handle, it marked a 14.9% increase on February 2025’s $216.2 million.

The state collected $803,032 in tax revenue from sports betting activity during the month.

In terms of operator performance for February, DraftKings led the online sportsbook market in Kansas with $101.5 million in handle and $3.9 million in revenue. FanDuel followed with $85.4 million in handle and $2.3 million in revenue.

For retail sportsbooks, ESPN Bet outperformed competitors with $4.2 million in handle and $135,945 in revenue. FanDuel ($1.1 million handle) and Caesars ($913,772 handle) trailed behind, while DraftKings’ retail handle stood at $494,527.
