Betsson Extends Latam Football Sponsorship Until 2028
The Swedish sportsbook’s branding will remain on the front of Boca’s shirts, with reports indicating the deal is worth over £6 million per year.

Betsson Group has renewed its sponsorship deal with Argentinian football giants Boca Juniors until the 2028 season, solidifying its status as the club’s main sponsor. The Swedish sportsbook’s branding will remain on the front of Boca’s shirts, with reports indicating the deal is worth over £6 million per year.
Jesper Svensson, CEO of Betsson Operations, highlighted the significance of the partnership, first signed in June 2023, in driving the company’s expansion across Latin America:
"We have always admired the history and legacy of Boca Juniors, and we are truly honored to continue supporting this extraordinary club.
As a company with Swedish roots, we feel a deep connection through our shared history and passion. This partnership not only strengthens our presence in the region but also helps us connect with a global audience."*
A Focus on Responsible Gaming
Beyond sponsorship, the collaboration also promotes responsible gaming. Closing out 2024, Betsson and Boca Juniors launched a campaign featuring Edinson Cavani, Miguel Merentiel, and Lautaro Blanco, urging fans to “play responsibly, on a safe site, and only if they are of legal age.”
Juan Román Riquelme, Boca Juniors’ former player and current President, expressed his excitement about the extension:
"We are very happy. We have been lucky enough to start this partnership with Betsson on June 25, 2023, and today, thanks to Betsson’s trust and the great work being done, we were able to renew until December 2028.
For me, it is a great happiness, and I greatly appreciate the trust. Hopefully, the future finds us celebrating together."
Maximiliano Bellio, Betsson’s Country Manager for Argentina, echoed Riquelme’s sentiments, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to Latin American football:
"From the beginning, Boca’s leadership, especially with Juan Román Riquelme, has shown great professionalism in working with us.
This renewal reinforces our commitment to Latin American football and reflects our continued success in the region. With more than 60 years of experience, Betsson brings security and a track record, and we are dedicated to promoting responsible gaming while improving the entertainment experience for fans of legal age."
With this extension, Betsson continues to strengthen its presence in South America, while Boca Juniors secures a committed partner in both football and responsible gaming initiatives.
