LeoVegas Expands Into German Market with Sportsbook Launch

LeoVegas Group has officially launched its sportsbook in Germany, adding to its existing virtual slot machine offerings across the country. The expansion leverages the GGL license granted to the group in 2023, enabling LeoVegas to operate its sportsbook across all 16 states of one of Europe’s largest iGaming markets.

To bolster its presence, LeoVegas plans to debut a marketing campaign titled “Thrill Seeker” in December. The campaign will span TV, programmatic advertising, and affiliate channels, aiming to raise brand awareness and attract German sports bettors.

Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas Group, shared his enthusiasm for the expansion:

“Launching our sportsbook offering in Germany is a very exciting step for LeoVegas Group as we continue to grow and strengthen our foothold. Germany is one of Europe’s great sports powerhouses, and we are confident players will enjoy LeoVegas.de as a one-stop-shop for the greatest iGaming experience.”

Since obtaining its GGL license, LeoVegas has made significant strides in Germany, beginning with a nationwide rollout of slot games. Reflecting on the progress, Hagman added:

“We are looking forward to launching LeoVegas in Germany under the new nationwide license. With our track record of regulated markets, we will ensure the greatest iGaming experience with a high level of consumer protection.”

LeoVegas’ sportsbook launch marks a pivotal step in its continued growth, positioning the Stockholm-listed company as a key player in Germany’s regulated iGaming market.
