Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel Group has announced details of its latest investment. According to today’s press release, the brand has made a multi-million-dollar investment in Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, Illinois.

While the finer details of the finances are yet to be disclosed, what we do know is that the racecourse will be branded to FanDuel Sportsbook and Horse Racing.

As part of the investment, a great deal of the money will be spent on refurnishing and renovating the sporting venue. FanDuel will also be opening a retail sportsbook at the location.

The venue, which opened in 1925, is one of only three racing venues in the state, made famous for its offering of thoroughbred flat racing on a one-mile dirt oval.

The operator went live with its online and mobile sportsbook in the state in September through its partnership Boyd.

“We are delighted to partner with Fairmount Park to continue bringing high quality horse racing and soon additional entertainment experiences via our sportsbook to the region,” FanDuel chief executive Matt King said.

“Fairmount is an iconic state landmark which we plan to modernize bringing innovative technology and entertainment offerings only FanDuel can deliver.”
